ABSTRACT
In the last chapter, we questioned the idea that science is a single unitary thing with only one methodology. Instead, we showed that there are sciences (plural), each with its own philosophies, assumptions, and practices. Safety science, like all sciences, should adopt a pragmatic approach regarding methodology (or, rather, methodologies). So, the next question is, which methodologies should safety science adopt?
