ABSTRACT
It should be clear by now that, as we said at the beginning of the first chapter, although we are concerned with the same issues as most safety experts (reducing accidents, promoting safety), our approach is different (some would say radically different) from the standard view in the field. In this concluding chapter, we summarize what we have been saying and look at some of the broader implications of our approach.
