ABSTRACT
One of the new plants that the Seminoles encountered when they came to southern Florida was the geographically restricted Angadenia berteri. These plants live only in the pine rocklands of Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, and their restricted range and habitat have led to them being called “pineland golden trumpet.” The species is threatened in Florida (Coile 2000).
