ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology is the application of nanoscale materials. This has been the most important research topic in the world for the past few years, and it will change our lives in the very near future. One of the critical aspects of nanotechnology research is how to modify the surface of nanoparticles to make them more useful for different applications. This chapter describes a novel plasma polymerization technique for coating nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanoplates. The coated nanoparticles/tubes/ plates can be used to reinforce polymer materials and to provide special functional capabilities for materials.
