Explains whether (and what) medical treatment or compensation is available if subject is injured; may include a statement of who will be responsible for any additional expenses, especially if there is the possibility that the subject's insurance company or other third party may refuse to pick up the costs. (Regulations do not limit injury to "physical injury.") Contains name of contact person and phone number for questions about research-related injury or the research study. This needs to be a 24-hour number.
