ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 discussed information retrieval. Essentially, we provided an overview of text retrieval, image retrieval, video retrieval, and multimedia information retrieval. This chapter will examine the information retrieval systems discussed in Chapter 6 and the impact of Web mining. It will also provide an overview of search engines and Web mining.
