In this chapter, we examine the various information management technologies discussed in Chapter 7 and the impact of Web mining.
COLLABORATIVE DATA MINING
We discussed collaborative data mining as part of heterogeneous database mining in Chapter 11. In the case of federated and heterogeneous database mining, the various systems may have to work together and mine data collaboratively. In this section, we revisit the discussion in Chapter 11 as it is also very relevant for the discussion on collaborative data mining.
