ABSTRACT
This suborder comprises three deep-sea families in the WCNA and is classified within the Argentiniformes. A brief discussion of the classification is given above in the Order Argentiniformes account. The three families are Alepocephalidae, Leptochilichthyidae, and Platytroctidae and ELH information, though limited, is provided in each chapter devoted to the respective family.
