ABSTRACT

Readers who have read the whole book to this point will be conceptually ready to pursue global software development and testing. However, being ready in concept is not really the same thing as actually doing it. Even though we have presented several small cases throughout the book, we will present in this chapter two actual cases in more detail. The first case is one where, due to product and technical complexity, automation cannot be done easily and outsourcing coupled with better tools works. The other case is where just a small component that is highly repetitive, yet important, but also orthogonal to the main product is tested offshore.
