ABSTRACT

Despite the best efforts and intentions of all involved, there will always be an

incidence of problems even in successful subcontracting (many of these prob-

lems are also present when work is performed using internal resources, but

such are not the subject of this volume). What can be done is to be aware of

such problems and to be prepared to solve them if they arise. Preferably the

initial step to a solution is knowledge of how others have previously solved

similar problems.
