ABSTRACT
Many guidelines in handbooks are too general or vague for development purposes. With each project, an investigator or designer needs to create a unique problem and solution description. Even though guidelines and checklists are available, research and development team members still have to collect their own information. The best means to do that are research methods, which are procedures that enable the development team to create a successful solution.
