ABSTRACT
The result of mathematical modeling is the description of the total migration process including the initial and boundary conditions as presented in Chapter 1.8. Schematizations, approximations, and transformations of this basic process description are usually required to formulate a model which is compatible with the planned solution procedure. Such a model is commonly called a simulation model.
