ABSTRACT

This section describes the design and prototyping of various concurrent multiband subsystems used in the RF sensor. The detailed design of WPD, LNA and oscillators are reported herewith. These subsystems will be helpful to reduce the component count, power consumption and hardware size of the system.

These subsystems operate simultaneously at 2.44 GHz and 5.25 GHz frequency bands and provide a compact, power efficient and low cost solution due to its concurrent operation. The proposed design is simulated and verified with advanced design system (ADS-2009). The simulated design is then fabricated on a commercial substrate {NH9320} which is a poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene (PTFE) /glass/ceramic dielectric.
