ABSTRACT
As noted in Chapter 1, intellectual property can be divided into four principal categories: (1) patents, (2) trademarks, (3) copyrights, and (4) trade secrets. Although the various kinds of intellectual property have some common attributes and in some respects can be considered to overlap one another in different respects, the basic nature of each is funda· mentally quite different. In this chapter you will learn about trademarks.
