ABSTRACT

There's a saying in factories, "Setup is eight-tenths." In other words, if one has completed setup properly, the work is 80 percent completed. TPM follows this principle too. At the next day's meeting, the operators reported that they had come up with compound jigs. They explained that the workpieces attached to these jigs were all standardized during the pre-setup phase to fit the groove in the base. Machining diagrams are the third cause of aimless and disorganized setup; in the worst cases, they can even lead to defects. A performed pre-setup for NC and machining center blades. The main thing to remember in lathe retooling is to avoid replacing the jaw element. This is in line with the fundamental rule of zero setup, "immovable standards." Multiple-product small-lot production brings with it an increase in the number of employee-hours lost to setup.
