ABSTRACT
Mononitrophenols exist in three isomeric forms: 2-nitrophenol (or o-nitrophenol), 3-nitrophenol (or m-nitrophenol) and 4-nitrophenol (p-nitrophenol). Due to the lack of toxicological data regarding 3-nitrophenol and because use of this isomer is limited in industry, only 2-nitrophenol and 4-nitrophenol will be discussed.
