ABSTRACT
The uses of phenol include: manufacturing and use in resins, plastics, fibers, and adhesives; in iron and steel industries; foundries; and in rubber processing. The non-occupational sources of exposure include: in disinfectants; over the counter medications such as throat lozenges; cigarette smoke; and in auto exhaust.
