ABSTRACT

The uses of propyl alcohol include: as a solvent in many industries; as a chemical intermediate in organic synthesis; on plastic film and sheeting with polyamide-based inks; in textile and leather processing; as solvent in nitrocellulose lacquers, dopes, polystyrene coatings, inks, dyes, textiles, leather finishes, and artists fixatives; manufacturing of polishing agents; in cleaning and degreasing operations; and in the manufacturing of brake fluids.
