ABSTRACT
The uses of selenium include: manufacturing of glass, pigments, paints, dyes, electronic equipment, fungicides, rubber, semiconductors; byproduct of copper refining; decolorizer for ceramics; insecticides; and as a topical agent for dandruff and acne. Selenium is also an essential nutrient with dietary sources of selenium from various seafoods, liver, and other meat.
