ABSTRACT
The production of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane in the United States is very limited. It was used in the past as an industrial solvent; as a chemical intermediate in the production of other chemicals (i.e. perchloroethylene); to clean and degrease metals; and as a component of paints, pesticides, varnishes, lacquers, and in photographic films.
