ABSTRACT
The uses of 1,3-butadiene include: in the production of rubber and plastics (approximately 75% used in production of synthetic rubbers), and in copolymers including acrylics. It is also used as a copolymer latex in carpet backing, as a resin for automobile and appliance parts, and in the manufacture of paper coatings, pipes, conduits, appliance and electrical equipment components, and luggage.
