ABSTRACT
The uses of chloroform include: formerly as a general anesthetic; in building paper and board industries; pesticide manufacturing; film manufacturing; and as a solvent for lacquers, floor polishes, resins, adhesives, alkaloids, fats, oils and rubber. The primary usage of chloroform is in the production of flurocarbon-22, which is a refrigerant. 22
