ABSTRACT

Chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticides can be separated into three classes: dichloro-diphenylethanes, cyclodienes, and cyclohexanes. DDT (1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl(ethane) and one of its metabolite’s, DDD (1,1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl(ethane) are in the class Dichlorodiphenylethanes.
