ABSTRACT
The uses of di-n-butyl phthalate include: as an insect repellant; plasticizer for epoxy resins and polyvinyl chloride; in plastisol formulations for carpet back coating and other vinyl compounds; adjusting agent for lead chromate pigments; concrete additive; and as a solvent for perfume oils. 3 , 4 , 5 In addition di-n-butyl phthalate is used in a variety of common products such as nail polish, hair products, aftershave lotion, adhesives and caulking.
