ABSTRACT
The uses of 1,1-dichloroethene include: as an intermediate for organic chemical synthesis; and in the production of polyvinylidene chloride copolymers. These polymers are used commercially for many things including: flexible packing materials; flame retardant coatings; and as flexible films for food packaging such as SARAN® and VELON® wraps.
