ABSTRACT
1,2-Dichloroethene is a liquid that exists in one of two forms, cis-1,2-dichloroethene and trans-1,2-dichloroethene. The uses of 1,2-dichloroethene include: as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of chlorinated solvents and compounds; and as a low-temperature extraction solvent for organic materials such as dyes, perfumes, lacquer and thermoplastics.
