ABSTRACT

The most stupendous improvement plans in the world will be ineffective unless they are translated into practice. Often at this stage the resistance of habit will prevent shop workers from implementing improvement plans. Indeed, such plans cannot be fully realized unless consent is obtained along with understanding and unless tenacious efforts are sustained. Fifty stabilizers were hung from hooks on plates and dipped into liquid varnish. Since at this stage varnish would inevitably adhere to the holes on the stabilizers from which they were hung and to the hooks, the stabilizers would stick quite firmly to the plates as they passed through the drying oven. The tool cannot cut adequately if it leaves the material at full cutting force, but if there were less of a margin for it to cut into, the tool would cut cleanly through the material before exiting.
