ABSTRACT

People will understand something if the reasoning is explained to them. But understanding by itself will never get things put into practical operation. People will not swing into action until they are convinced by the arguments. In this world of ours there are many people who, despite clear thinking and an extraordinary gift for logical argumentation, are isolated because neither their subordinates nor their superiors trust them. It is much more effective to have the process explained in reverse, to have problem areas clearly stated and then to have conclusions given right at the beginning. If one thinks about the reasons for explaining things, no one should find it difficult to understand that explanations that present conclusions first are considerably more expedient. For five hundred years after the birth of mankind, there were no "rules" whatsoever for how to talk.
