ABSTRACT
The performance of an optical system will vary with the particular settings used for the different test parameters such as the object and image conjugates, position in the field of view, aperture setting etc. In a realistic test procedure only a limited number of measurements can be made and one has the problem of deciding which particular settings to use. This chapter aims to provide some guidance on this matter pwelcome datacomproviding information, where possible, on current standards and recommended practice.
