ABSTRACT

Reports are the final result of surveys and audits. They are the important record of the survey or audit findings and include the data collected and recommendations for upgrading the lighting systems of a facility. In the authors' reports, they communicate to the client not only those recommendations that they have found meet the upgrade criteria but also the options that they investigated that they did not recommend. If an option is not recommended due to long payback, it can be set aside until electric rates are high enough or payback criteria change, making the option more attractive. The report is written in concise language that will help the nontechnical nursing home personnel to purchase and install the recommended equipment. Specific equipment recommendations are made that will meet the performance criteria. No alternatives are provided, and the end-user is responsible for the outcome resulting from substitution of alternative lighting equipment.
