ABSTRACT
The crude metal produced by pyroextraction usually contains several other elements as precipitates and/or in solution. The objective in refining is to remove the undesirable impurities to the extent that is necessary to produce those mechanical, physical and chemical properties in the metal required for the intended use (i.e., fitness for purpose), while retaining those elements beneficial to the properties.
