In this paper, in total eleven BSS specimens were designed based on the theory of orthogonal test and prestressing tests were then carried out to investigate comprehensively the structural performance of BSS in construction stage. An analytical model was then established and validated.The effect of the above mentioned six parameters on the structural performance, the overall rigidity and the critical pre-tension was also studied.
