ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the x chart involving the estimates of moving ranges. It presents many references on applications of control charts and discusses a quite simple approach to control of processes subject to consistent change in level. The chapter also provides examples for better understanding of control charting principles, the distinctions between attribute and variable charts, and the interplay of charts with specifications.
