ABSTRACT
Tn all production processes the product has variability. The variability may be in the quality of the product as measured by its density or color, or it may be in its yield as measured in units or by the percent of material produced in a given batch. A manufacturer wants to ensure that the production process is operating as intended. For this purpose control charts are used to monitor current production on a real-time basis.
