ABSTRACT

A large number of genera and species have at one time or another been included in Glyphipterigidae (sensu lato). A catalog (Heppner, 1982b) prepared in conjunction with this revision lists over 200 generic names (counting synonyms, emendations, and misspellings) once associated with the family. This catalog covers the world fauna. Genera formerly placed in the family from the North American fauna and now excluded are as follows: Araeolepia Walsingham (Plutellidae), Ellabella Busck (Copromorphidae), Hilarographa Zeller (Tortricidae), Homadaula Zeller (Plutellidae), Lotisma Busck (Copromorphidae), and Tegeticula Zeller (Incurvariidae: Prodoxinae). These genera, as well as one species of “Glyphipterix” belonging to Oecophoridae (now in Fabiola), were discussed more fully and transferred in a recent paper (Heppner, 1978). Tegeticula has already been transferred by Davis (1967).
