ABSTRACT

The primary professional concern of a project manager is, of course, to complete the project on time and within the budget. But he can't do it alone. Engineering writing is really fairly easy from the standpoint of overall organization. A logical route from beginning to end usually suggests itself. Management writing doesn't always fall into place quite as easily. It may take a little more time to determine the easiest, and hopefully, the shortest road to lead the reader to where one want him to go. So make an outline. The best writing style is usually a middle level of language: not too formal, not too informal. Creating the image that the speaker and the team behind him are competent and sincere, then, is the result of an accumulation of symbols that involve dress, mannerisms, attitudes, and technical knowledge.
