388The list of drugs that are used for therapeutic intervention of cardiovascular disease is large. There is also another sizable list of drugs that are used for noncardiac afflictions, but that can exert toxic manifestations on the cardiovascular system. Some of them, such as the tricyclic antidepressants, anticholinergics, phenothiazines, and cocaine, have been discussed in previous chapters.
