ABSTRACT

Previous chapters have discussed the physical processes that occur when an AIR is created. In this chapter we will make estimates for a variety of effects related to the possibility of producing an AIR and reflecting radio signals from it. The topics to be discussed include the specific prospects for creating an AIR under real conditions and estimating the possible distortion of radio signals reflected from an AIR. In addition, it is necessary to treat the noise that associated with AIRs and to estimate the distortion in the operation of various radio media resulting from this noise.
