ABSTRACT

We have come to the climax of Part Two. Three tools will be fundamental for our structural investigations: (1) the concept of a uniform module introduced in Chapter 1, (2) our knowledge of injective hulls, and (3) some special features of modules over left noetherian rings. A reasonably good insight into the strucure of uniform injective modules can be developed. For arbitrary injective modules, the structure will only be clarified when the ring is left noetherian.
