Determination of Chromic Acid Mist in Air

A known amount of air is drawn through a polyvinyl chloride (2) filter. The filter is washed with 0.005 M hydrochloric acid and the solution brought to a pH of about 2.8 after addition of ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC).
