ABSTRACT
The incidents of desert expansion at the expense of productive land have repeatedly taken place in several locations around the globe. Kropotkin 1 who traveled in the wastes of Central Asia concluded that the whole of that wide region is now and has been since the beginning of the historic period in a state of rapid desiccation. This rapid desiccation pushed the inhabitants to migrate and invade Europe in the first centuries of this era.
