ABSTRACT
Many experiments give as output long records of numbers produced by recording the observed value of some measurable quantity at regular time intervals. Such time series normally need to be analysed to be of more immediate use. There are many ways to do this. We shall not explain the more commonly used methods of analysis like power spectra analysis, frequency analysis, correlations, etc. Instead we shall be concerned with some aspects of time series analysis that are relevant to the preceding chapters
