ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the dictates of the governing relationships under the constraint that flow is isentropic. The general ground rules listed in Chapter 6 continue to apply and, in addition, the entropy of the flow is constant so that the stagnation conditions are invariant from point to point in the flow. Only internal flows are considered, and changes in the flow conditions along the duct are due solely to changes in cross-sectional area.
