ABSTRACT
We are interested in the general question, under what conditions is every module in a given class of modules extending? We shall consider this question for the particular cases of all (finite, countably infinite) direct sums of copies of a module and all singular modules. As we shall see, it is natural to consider some of these cases when the ring R is left non-singular.
