ABSTRACT

The most common attribute for distribution and transportation is that it involves a change in location or physical configuration of the product, not a transformation of the product. Boundaries are not always sharp in this area and therefore must be defined at the onset of the analysis. An example is the freezing of meat or food products during transportation. If it is already frozen at the plant, moving frozen meat or food products is just transportation under special conditions. If it is frozen during transportation then it is in this fuzzy area as to definitions. The making of concrete in the truck on the way to a job site is another example.
