ABSTRACT

Industry combines the work of people with energy and material resources to make products for society at home and for sales out of state. The economy of Florida has been stimulated by the many high-technology industries that form the US space program. This chapter considers industrial systems, the development of technology, and the role of information. People who buy the stock are investing in the industry and expect to receive money from the profits in exchange. Of all the sectors of the economy of humanity and nature, those concerned with information are at the top. In order to sustain a high level of information in society, there has to be a continual enrichment of the information used to educate employees such as engineers and scientists. As information systems, space satellites have been highly successful in improving worldwide communication, developing information about our lands and seas, and feeding back information on defense to maintain peace.
