ABSTRACT
With graffiti, as with all other problems, prevention is better than cure, provided the price is right. In practice, most authorities with graffiti problems adopt a combination of deterrent, protective and removal methods, but because neither deterrent measures nor protective materials and devices will entirely defeat determined graffitists, most of the effort goes into graffiti removal.
