ABSTRACT
In section 4, the shape sensitivity analysis of the first eigenvalue of the Laplace operator in a domain with the crack is performed. The Auchmuty variational principle is used to characterize the first eigenvalue. The representation formula of the shape gradient established in [2] is used.
