ABSTRACT

In this work we present an iterative quasi-optimal approach to the control of the instationary Navier-Stokes equations. It is based on approximating the nonlinear dynamics of the Navier-Stokes equations by a reduced order model obtained by the snapshot form of the proper orthogonal decomposition [20] and carrying out an exact optimization for the reduced system.
