ABSTRACT
The model, which is used in [5], is the 2-D strip model which applies to bare wings of high aspect ratio [11]. The structure is modeled by a uniform cantilever beam which bends and twists. The aerodynamics is simplified to the extreme: subsonic, incompressible, and inviscid. In addition, the author of [5] has added the self-straining actuators using a currently accepted model (see, e.g., [6-8, 12, 33, 35]).
